In order to keep the symphony affordable, ticket
prices are set to cover only about 30% of the cost of performances. Even selling
out the entire house at each of our concerts, leaves us needing to raise 70% of
the cost from other sources. Our sponsors and donors are vital to our ability
to operate the Symphony and continue to bring live symphonic music to local audiences.
We cannot thank our supporters enough, as it is their generosity that makes it
possible to sustain and improve the Symphony. Available at the beginning
of 2007, the Symphony commissioned a beautiful donor recognition board. It is
a visually exciting and impressive exhibit that publicly acknowledges our vital
supporters. This donor board will be proudly and prominently displayed at the
Washington Center during Symphony performances as well as at other Symphony events
throughout the season. We are thrilled to be able to recognize individuals who
give over $250. Support the Musicians
Put your name behind your musicians! In order to attract, retain and reward
principal musicians for sharing their time and talent with us, help us provide
a fund to cover their costs, the costs of the music and provide incentives for
our orchestra members. Education
We take the “educate” part of our mission very seriously. The
best way to secure the future of the symphony is to educate and involve a growing
student population. Our program to sponsor junior patrons at our live performances
is essential for the future of our orchestra. This donor driven program needs
your support to continue. Olympia Symphony Endowment
Fund Remembering the symphony in your will is the ultimate
gift. Letting us know that ahead of time allows us to acknowledge your gift
in life. For more information about these and other ways to support
your symphony, contact Executive Director, Linda Spain at 360.753.0074 or lspain@olympiasymphony.com.
